“A long time ago in a galaxy far far away,” well not really, this great galaxy is at your closest movie theater. With the new Star Wars The Force Awakens being released I decided to go see it because I’m a huge Star Wars geek, and I needed to find out if this movie was going to be as good as the trailers made it look. Or was it going to be a huge flop. I decided to write a review for anyone wondering if they should go see this movie or not. And don’t worry, this is a spoiler free review!

So overall I loved this movie, I had always loved the Star Wars movies, but also because of how long I had waited for this movie to come out. I saw the first teaser trailer early in the spring of 2015. It was surprising to say the least. After the disaster of the prequels, I had figured there wouldn’t be another film in the franchise and so I hadn’t heard of this until then, and if I had heard of it, I dismissed it as just another fan film. So when this came out it blew my mind and I was so excited. Then another three trailers came out during the summer and that made my excitement for this film grow even more. It was a long of period of nothing for four months, but then two months before the movie came out. Lucasfilm (The studio that was behind this film) released the full trailer. The trailer was amazing and everybody was having high hopes for this film since it looked great in the trailer.

On December 18th 2015 I saw my first ever Star Wars movie in the theaters. I wasn’t let down. The action is just right, not too much but enough to make your heart race at every turn. All new bad guys which make the stakes this time even higher. The cast was amazing with old characters returning and new characters being introduced. Over all this movie was everything I wanted it to be. It had the humor of the original trilogy, the action, the same sense of amazement. It was a great time at the theater that night. So if you are wondering if you should go see this movie or not. The answer is a definite yes. You don’t know what you’re missing out on. “May the Force be with you.”- General Dodonna in Star Wars episode IV: A New Hope.
