I believe, as a teenager, students should be able to have our phones in school, and I think other students could agree. Phones could be useful for so much in school, including research, organization for schedules, educational apps, communication with teachers and to stay connected for safety.

There can be instances where phones would not be necessary in class, but if you are using it to help with work and research it should be okay. I don’t believe that having to keep your phone in your locker is a good idea for things like emergency issues.

There is a rule that you are not supposed to have your phone during emergencies because they do not want you texting your parents for reasons that they will all show up at the school. The staff does not want parents showing up as a result of the parents causing traffic and not allowing the emergency vehicle to get to the school.

I get that, but in a way the parents could try and calm their kid down over the phone and that could help the situation. Some students need to use their phones for health reasons and they have apps to help them track their health. I believe phones have more benefits then not, so phones should be allowed in school.
