St. Patrick’s Day Delight

The+delicious+cookies.
The delicious cookies.

Need a sweet and simple St. Patrick’s Day treat to try? Then this recipe is just for you, here is my honest review.

The recipe I will be reviewing is Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies. The cookies tasted great and were easy to make. However, I recommend freezing the dough for a few minutes to make it easier to work with.

I already had a lot of the ingredients at home although I did have to buy a few items. That included mint extract which cost $4.92, food coloring which was $3.47, and mint chocolate chip chunks which were $1.12.

The recipe called for the cookies to be in the oven for nine minutes. However, I found that they turned out flawless after 13 minutes. One tip: I suggest you add a teaspoon of milk to the dough so it’s not too dry.

To ensure that the cookies were super sweet I added a pinch of brown sugar which the recipe didn’t call for. Since I’m an amateur baker, I got the Betty Crocker cookie mix.

All you need to add is an egg and a stick of butter. If you like baking, you could make the dough homemade. The mix I used made three batches.

A tip I would give you in this recipe is to add blue and green food coloring to the dough. This is to make sure the color green is very vibrant. I hope you enjoy this magical treat!
