Kevin Garcia, a sophomore at MHS and varsity soccer player strongly enjoys being a part of the team.

The second year player expressed his devotion to the sport and how he’s ¨a little nervous but ready to play.¨ He also shared about how his team is good at ¨focusing on having fun but also winning.¨
Garcia has been personally getting ready for playoffs for a while now from normal practices to summer tournaments.
Look for Garcia in center forward as the number #21.

After the second round game,Achilles Palacios, a junior and Varsity starter, commented on the aftermath of the game.
¨I think we were ready, and had a good chance at state and we still do.¨ Palacios said.
Palacios shared that the team has shown great improvement and the outcome would not have been the same without the “chemistry we’ve built.”
The 13 year player shared strategies and helpful insight on what it’s like leading up throughout the season.
“We won our first game 5-0,”Palacios said “it was good but also a little rocky for us…our second game we did really good,we kept the intensity up the whole game and let the ball do the talking.”
Palacios plays as the number #13,and you can look for him in the holding mid.
Palacios wanted to give a message on behalf of his team for our community as well, he says “We would love for more people to come support us, sometimes people forget there are other sports than just football and basketball.”
The McPherson High School soccer team has been off on an amazing season and I think I speak for MHS when I say we can’t wait to see what else they’ll accomplish next!
