The McPherson High School volleyball team ended Senior Night 2025 on a good note, defeating Wellington in three competitive sets. Bullpups also earned a big victory over Buhler that night.
Senior Night wasn’t just about the final score it was about celebrating the dedication and leadership of the team’s seniors who have helped shape the program over the past four years.
Senior starter Brooke Doile reflected on what makes McPherson volleyball stand out. “Something that makes McPherson volleyball different from other schools is that our coaches make the schedule and practices harder to test our mental toughness every day,” Doile said.
She also shared her advice for incoming players. “Go into practice every day with a positive mindset, and don’t take your time with your team for granted,” Doile said.
For Elley Paulson, another senior leader, the highlight of the night was the special moment after the game when underclassmen presented gifts to the seniors following their announcements of future plans.
“My favorite part of senior night was when the underclassmen gave us gifts,” Paulson said. “It meant a lot and really showed how close our team is.”
Paulson hopes her teammates remember her as someone who always brought energy and encouragement to the court. “I want them to remember me as positive and energetic someone who brought leadership and good vibes,” Paulson said.
As the seniors look ahead to new chapters, the Bullpup volleyball program carries forward their example of toughness, teamwork, and positivity qualities that define McPherson volleyball.
