On Wednesday, May 10th, MHS Senior Jon Oakes passed away.  He will be dearly missed by his classmates and friends at MHS. It is hard to grasp the loss of someone so young, but he will always be in our thoughts and memories. Jon was an active member of the auto program, and he was enlisted into the air force, where he intended to serve his country after graduation. There is no easy way to say goodbye to a friend so soon, but Jon will always be remembered and cherished.

Howard Arnold Walter, “I Would Be True.”

I would be true for there are those who trust me.

I would be pure for there are those who care.

I would be strong for there is much to suffer

and I would be brave for there is much to dare.

Sister: Mackenzie Oakes

Parents: Stephen and Stephanie Oakes
