Bullpup Football

Friday, September 23rd, the Bullpup varsity football team had their homecoming game at home against Circle High School. The theme for the student section was USA, so all the students dressed out in anything red, white, and blue to show their school spirit for their team. The singing group Vita Voce performed pregame by singing The National Anthem under the direction of choir director Nicholas Griggs. In the 1st quarter player Kaden Burris got injured and had to be taken off the field for medical care. During halftime our homecoming king and queen were announced, the running candidates that won were Sam Becker and Amber Smith. Another exciting event that happened during halftime was MHS winning the KSHSAA Performing Arts School of Excellence award for being the best performing arts school in the state of Kansas. Once halftime was over and our boys were back on the field to finish the last two quarters strong, they brought us yet another win with the final score ending in 35-15. MHS freshman Maryn Sandbo said this about the game, “It was fun overall and the student section was super fun too because of the theme and chants and funny things that happen in the section.”
