The McPherson Bullpups Football 2020 Wrap Up

The Bullpups this year made it to the state semifinals for the fourth season in a row. They concluded the season 10-2 overall but 4-0 in the district. Not only that, they estimated 51 in the state. They are unable to beat the two teams, Arkcity and De Soto.

This year, Bullpups traveled to a Topeka meet and won all individual events. They rocked the relays as well. They also demolished Buhler High twice this season.

Bullpups were excellent this season with the help from the fans that came to support and cheer even with Covid. All fans were expected to wear a mask and have a wristband to get into the game. A new Facebook page was set up this year to help the fans get wrist bands before they ran out. Although they had more rules for the fans this season, the bleachers were still full. McPherson high school students and parents never fail to come to support the teams and cheer.

Covid affected the players by having to canceled games due to the increasing number of Covid cases. The Bullpups ended the season with a loss against Arkcity, 28-27 in substate playoffs on November 20th.
