Some children do not have the benefit of going to bed feeling warm and comfortable

“Some children do not have the benefit of going to bed feeling warm and comfortable”

Bailey Yarborough, J1 Student

McPherson High School is hosting a charity drive for young teens and children who do not have the benefit of comfort for bedtime rest. Children who are spending the night in shelters or foster homes will receive any donated pajamas or books. Some children do not have the benefit of going to bed feeling warm and comfortable, but these simple donations can brighten their night time rituals. The smallest feel of hope can assure good night’s worth of sleep and sprout.
The drive has already begun and will continue until April 9th. Any books or pajamas can be donated to the high school or seniors. The sponsor for this charitable event is Erica Shook and the class of 2018. All donations will stay in Kansas. This small deed may go unnoticed, but the feeling of remorse and kindness will fill your heart. The children will be very grateful and that small feeling of hope will grow.
