The 58th presidential inauguration ceremony was a two-day event that occurred from Thursday, January 19 to Friday, January 20.

At 4 pm on Thursday was the “Make America Great Again!” celebration to welcome Trump to Capitol Hill. The event involved a few brief remarks from Mr. Trump, and continued on with performances from many hit artists including 3 Doors Down, Toby Keith, and The Rockettes.

11:30 am Friday marked the official beginning of Trump’s presidency, with both he and his Vice President being sworn in. Millions watched through their televisions as Trump administered the oath of office, placing one hand on the bible and his other in the air, vowing to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution,” to the best of his ability, being lawfully worn in as the United States of America’s 45th president with much pomp and circumstance from his supporters there in Washington D.C.. Following this, Trump delivered a compelling and forceful inaugural address, promising to stop the “American carnage” in its tracks.

After a luncheon followed by a review of Armed Forces, Trump and Pence lead the Inaugural Parade down Pennsylvania Avenue, taking their places atop a viewing podium to watch the rest of the parade once they reached the White House.

Despite concerns over violent protests and even possible assassination attempts, the inauguration of our 45th President went along with barely as much as a hitch. Even the Women’s March, which took place the following day on Saturday, January 21, proceeded without violence and remained a peaceful protest as was intended by the participants.
