MCPHERSON, KS. – We were looking for something to eat when my dad said, “One of my coworkers says Freddy’s tacos are really good,” so obviously we had to go try them. Since we’re lazy, we ended up going through the drive-thru, and the service was great. The worker on the other end of the speaker was nice and patient. Making this an enjoyable experience, just waiting in line. The overall wait took 5-10 minutes. Considering that other vehicles were waiting in line to try the tacos as well, I would say the service was speedy, along with the kindness of the workers.
When we finally got the food, the smell was so refreshing, the scent of the freshly grilled flour tortilla and the gooey cheese. We were so excited to try these tacos. Thin pressed steakburger patty with crispy edges, melted American cheese, shredded lettuce, and zesty Jalapeño Fry Sauce, served in a folded, grilled flour tortilla, the hype was real. We each got two tacos to really get a taste of greatness, and the delivery definitely lived up to the hype.
Both tacos were still warm and cozy when they touched my tongue, and you could taste all the different ingredients at once. The zesty Jalapeño Fry sauce added a nice kick of spice to the tacos, making them a lot more flavorful. At the end of the day, they were from a fast food chain that serves greasy burgers and fries, so they weren’t the best smash burger tacos I’ve ever had. But for a local fast food restaurant that I can go to and get food in less than 10 minutes with great service. I would say they are definitely worth a try, I highly recommend.
Do I think they live up to the hype? Probably not, but they’re smash burger tacos for crying out loud, go try them.
