McPherson High School football team finished the season 11-1 with their district record 8-0.  Some of their greatest highlights over the season were the games against Independence with a score of 71-13, Augusta with a score of 63-6, and Abilene with a score of 62-6.  Coach Harlin credits this season’s impressive record with the team building that has taken place throughout this year, “I think our offense line has been getting better and we have been coming together. We have new 8 defensive starters and have become tighter as a whole team.”

The impressive season made a big impact on how the players will continue with their football career. They all made great memories and good friends. Gage Shook, senior at MHS, wide receiver and defensive back said,”My favorite memory of this football season was being a part of a team and getting as far as we got.” The coaches, Harlin and Pavlovich, were very proud of how the team worked together. Coach Harlan predicted their good season. “This season has been going amazing, I <had> predicted that we were going to have a great season.”

The McPherson high school football team has grown a lot this season. With team building and team bonding the MHS team has had one of their best seasons yet.
