No Pain! No Gain!

The High School Freshman girls went 1-1 on the night of September 21 against Circle and Mulvane at Circle High School.

They lost their first match in 3 sets against Circle who they have won against already this season but they pulled out a tight win against Mulvane in 3 sets for the second time for the season.

Going into the games the girls were in a way, nervous. You may be thinking; “nervous? Why”? The start of the week they had some sick players, so there was a lot of stress on the coach having to make a new lineup in case they weren’t there to play in the following games.

All of their players actually were there on Thursday; still feeling a little ill but still wanted to play.

“We didn’t play the way we hoped to play but this loss isn’t going to get in the way of how we play at our tournament this weekend”, said Megan Lulloff. “ We need to be using our core values a little more wisely and we need to communicate better as a team but other than that; I hope we decide to play as best as we possibly can at our Buhler tournament this weekend”.

Although the outcome for the freshman wasn’t as successful as it was hoped to be; this only means that they now have the chance to get better and learn from their mistakes.
