Senior, Jessica Wylie applied for New York University, and George Mason University. She was accepted into both schools, and into the Honors College Program at George Mason. After considering her options Wylie decided to attend NYU. Her accomplishment in her acceptance can be shown by the exceptional students NYU picks for their classes.

New York University has an annual average of 52,000 applicants each year, this year however a record breaking 63,702 people applied to be apart of NYU’s programs. Although the college has campuses in Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai, most of its applicants apply for a spot in the New York campus. Out of 63,702 applicants for the freshmen class, just over 6,000 spaces were available, and only 5,500 spaces of New York’s campus.

“I want to be involved in clubs, and work for the Washington Square News while I’m there.” Wylie said. “I also want to work with the human trafficking cause.”

Wylie plans on attending NYU’s Journalism program in the fall of 2016.
