On December 6, Sabrina Carpenter released her very first Christmas film titled A Nonsense Christmas with numerous different guest stars. Carpenter’s EP “Fruitcake” contains many of the different songs on the soundtrack of this film, and she also sprinkled in covers with Tyla, Shania Twain, Kali Uchis, and Chappell Roan.
From the impressive special effects to the stunning sets, the visual technology on display deserves a perfect 10/10. Carpenter incorporates various elements within the set, even using the black backgrounds housing the technology and props as part of her performance before collaborating with an artist in a beautiful homey background.
It wouldn’t be a show without its humor! The acting in this film is truly top-notch, deserving a solid 9/10. It beautifully captures the relatable struggle of finding the perfect gift for someone you don’t know very well all wrapped up in the delightful song “What Do I Get My Brother-in-Law?” featuring the wonderful talents of Carpenter alongside Kyle Mooney, who plays her brother-in-law. Their bond behind the screen truly adds to the touch of how funny their scenes together are.
Carpenter is widely recognized for her delightful and charming personality, which effortlessly shines through in this film. Her unique blend of humor, characterized by a mix of clever wit and playful charm, creates an engaging atmosphere that keeps the audience fully attached. The film is crafted to resonate with Carpenter’s humor, ensuring there is never a dull moment. I can’t recommend this film enough! It has truly earned a solid 10/10 in my mind. It perfectly captures the cozy feeling of snuggling up during winter, enhanced by the endearing pop music that Carpenter has mastered.
