Never Forget September 11

This year on September 11th marked the 21st anniversary of the attack of the World Trade Center.

On September 11th, 2001 at 8:45 am a plane that was scheduled to fly from the East Coast to California was hijacked by an islamic extremist group and was intentionally flown into the 80th floor of the north tower of the World Trade Center. 18 mins later a second plane appeared and flew right into the 60th floor of the south tower, instantly killing many and trapping others. Millions were watching everything unfold and at 9:45 am another plane crashed into the Pentagon building in Washington, D.C.

One of the passengers was on the phone with his wife and he told her that “I know we’re all going to die. There’s three of us who are going to do something about it. I love you honey”. This was a tragic experience for people all over the world. Many of my family members have told stories of how they still know exactly where they were and exactly what they were doing when they heard the news.

A memorial opened on the site where it all happened in November of 2014 remembering all of the 2,000 + that were killed and over 10,000 that were severely injured. We will never forget.
