What did you used to teach?

        I used to teach Agriculture.

What do you teach now?

        I teach Special Education.

What do you miss most about your old job?

Being the FFA Advisor and getting to know students as a coach and a sponsor, not just their teacher.

What do you like about teaching MHS Students?

The students are extremely respectful and willing to assist me when I get lost in the building or when I am looking for another teacher’s room.

What’s the downfall with teaching at McPherson?

The only downfall is change, but I am ready for a new challenge and am really looking forward to meeting all the staff and students.

What’s different here then where you used to teach at?

I have taught at 1A and 2A schools in the past and the sheer size of the building and the amount of students is a bit baffling. I am used to knowing all the students in the HS and I do not know if I will ever be able to learn everyone’s! I am however A LOT closer (I live outside of Lindsborg) to MHS than I was my previous school and I am looking forward to attending more activities then I was able to with my previous schools.
