McPherson High School Wrestling Season Begins
The MHS Wrestling season has finally started with the first official tournament for the girl’s Varsity and boys JV on Saturday, Dec 4, 2021 at 9 AM. You can view the Bullpup Wrestling schedule here.
Due to an injury, Holli Giddings, a state placer, will not be participating at the beginning of the season but is planning to come back in a few weeks to start her last year as an MHS Wrestler. Giddings, Senior at MHS said, “It’s hard to think this is my last year of wrestling. I have been doing it since I was a 7th grader. I can’t imagine it being over. I have built some of the best friendships ever being a wrestler. And the coaches have always believed that if I think I can do it then it will happen. The day I will never forget was when I placed at state my jr year and gave all the coaches hugs. The first 2 weeks of practice I got hurt. It’s not fun sitting out and watching everyone get to do something that you wish you were doing.”
