McPherson Bullpups wow the crowd beating El Dorado 55-16 for the second Bullpup Home Game
MHS football had another win at the McPherson college stadium, 55-16 against El Dorado on Friday. The Bullpups now have a record of 3-0 and hope to continue that at their next game on Friday, Sept. 27 at Abilene, Ks.
It was also the Little Pups Cheer and Dance night at half time and the theme this game was Hawaii. Ariana Gross, a sophomore in the stands, said, “ I love doing the themes with my friends. I also really like the cowbell. I am very glad we won the game.”
Bullpups led El Dorado 7-0 with 10:36 left in the 1st quarter and by the end of the quarter, the score was 21-0. Bullpups 41 and El Dorado 0 with 7:50 left in half. In the 3rd quarter, El Dorado had a great come back but not enough to tie up the game. At the end of the 3rd quarter, the ending score was 55-16.
During halftime, the McPherson band went out on the field to play as the Hi- Steppers danced. To end halftime, the Little Pups Cheer, and Dance camp came out to perform a dance for everyone to see. The MHS cheerleaders worked with them over the week to prepare them for their dance.
“I like being in the stands because I get to watch the game with friends,” Simon Boese, a sophomore in the stands said. “I feel like the game went pretty well. I usually go to all the games, but my favorite part is getting to be with friends.”
