McPherson freshman volleyball traveled to Augusta for a quad on Thursday, September 22, 2022. They went 2-1 winning against Mulvane and Buhler. They had beaten Mulvane 25-19, 25-20, then defeated Buhler 25- 20, 25-22. In their last game against Augusta, they fell short losing both sets 27-25, 25-21. I asked player, Elley Paulsen, how the games went on Thursday and she said “First 2 good and the last one terrible. We played hard in all of our games. We did really well beating Mulvane and Buhler. Everyone had good energy and positive attitudes! In our last game, we had a very slow start and went down on ourselves, but we got back in the game and started playing hard when it was about 7-1. We came back and fell 2 points short. We came back in the second set and had a little bit of a better start but then got down on ourselves again fought hard a little too late and fell short again.” The lady Bullpups are now 12-5 overall and getting ready for their Buhler invitation on Saturday, September 24, 2022.
