New Places, New Faces

On August 16th, school started back up again for MHS. I could not tell you how nervous I was about being a freshman. All the different people, the different school, and not to mention having to find my way around. When I got my classes during the summer, I could not wait. Some of the classes I was most excited about were Modern Journalism and Spanish. During my first day of school my emotions and feelings were pretty much all over the place. I was nervous and scared but sometimes super excited. I was excited that I got to see some of my friends who are upper class men, and some of them I had never gone to school with and never got to see everyday.  Meeting all my teachers was a fun experience because they were all new and most of them I had never heard of or seen before, and I liked them all. However, I was definitely not used to the amount of homework that we would have because at the middle school we basically never had any form of homework. The amount of homework added on to hours of practice after school is going to be a real struggle for me, and I still haven’t quite gotten used to it after 5 days of school. One thing that did get better is finding my way around. Sometimes I will admit I still get turned around and have to ask for help but everyone is very nice about helping you find your way. I have gotten used to the new environment and the teachers as well. I think freshman year is going to be a fun year for me and my classmates.
