College and Career Day

At the MHS college representatives come and set up their tables with all their information in the Roundhouse each year. Every student has a chance to visit with the college reps and ask various questions they have. This year each student was given a barcode that could be scanned in order to receive emails and other facts about the colleges they talked to.

While seniors usually have a better idea of where they are gooing than freshman, college and career day is still a good way for all students to get an idea of the colleges available and be able to communicate with them. Not only are there many different colleges, there is also beauty schools, the Army, and the Air Force for those wanting to take a different path than college.

Sophomore Tayler Schroeder said “ I think this is a great way for kids to figure out what colleges around here have to offer and different majors they have.”

Sophomore Jaron Oakes said “ College and Career day is good because not only do you get out of 7th hour, but all of the reps are super helpful and nice, especially with all of the different and weird questions we ask.”
