The Kansas City Royals baseball team took four huge wins throughout the past week that will for sure go down in history. They have done good enough this year to make it to the World Series Championship.

In the championship, the royals played against the New York Mets. The record of the games were 4-1. The royals won the first two, lost one, and then came back and won the last two.

“We never put our heads down,” catcher, Salvador Perez told ABC News. “Never. We like to compete. We like to play hard. And we’ll see what happens at the end of the game. That’s what we do every game.”

Also, throughout the games against the NY Mets, there was something that happened for the first time since Babe Ruth was in the World Series. Eric Hosmer, #35 hit an in-the-park home run. The homerun was a big “hit” with the fans.

The Kansas City Royals have not won the World Series since 1985, so this was a huge accomplishment for them!

When the team returned to Kansas City, there was a parade held in their honor. Many fans decided to abandon their cars on the sides of roadways and highways to walk to the parade because of the amount of parking. The fans were determined to get to the parade on time, even though the team was a bit late. The parade had thousands of fans there to support their team with all their wins at home and away.
