This last fall, on October 23, 2021, sub-state volleyball was held at McPherson High School against Wellington and Abilene. I was so nervous considering I was a freshman on varsity and this was my first big high school competition ever. I’ve never wanted to win a game so bad in my life. I made a few mistakes but it all worked out in the end when we won. I was beyond excited. I didn’t even know what to do. I was so proud of myself as well as my team because we were headed to state!
