A Weekend At The Bowling Alley
October 4, 2018
After a long, hard week of working, what’s better than going to the Bowling Alley with a few friends to have a fun time?
The Bowling Alley has plenty of lanes for your group of friends to join. They have a variety of bowling balls for anyone of any measure of strength. Food and a good atmosphere are always shown, although good sportsmanship might not be. Plenty of people would take the games lightheartedly, while the rest of them would be very competitive. So be sure you have your best game strategy prepared beforehand.
Starlight Lanes was recently purchased by George Yang and Julie Ni. Back in 2017, and they’ve been making modifications to the building. They’ve been painting the walls, redoing some of the building, adding in a concession area, and making the bowling alley a very light-hearted easygoing area. Making sure the place is bound to be much more fun for anyone who wants to take a few hours out of their day to play a game.
Starlight Lanes is open from 1PM-10PM on Mondays-Thursdays, 5PM-12AM on Fridays and Saturdays, and 1PM-6PM on Sundays; so be sure to arrive on time!
If you ever want to reserve some lanes for a party of some sort, you can call their number and pay them. The price depends on how long you’re going to rent out Starlight Lanes as well as how many people you’re bringing along with you.
A wide variety of food is offered for all of your bowling food cravings. Hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, pizza, and whatever else your heart might be set on whilst bowling. The children probably won’t complain much, seeing as Starlight Lanes offers chicken strips as well.
If the kids are too young to throw the ball anywhere besides the gutters, they can always use the bumpers. Then it’ll be a fair game for the children against the adults. Unless the adults decide that they want the bumpers up for themselves as well. Fun upbeat music always plays in the background, keeping the energetic mood up as everyone competes. Whether their game is serious or just for laughs and bragging rights.
There’s no limit to what age you are if you’re going to come in to have fun as you bowl. As long as you can hold your ball and toss it towards the pins, you’re in luck. You don’t have to be that good to play at Starlight Lanes either, you can be the worst of the worst, and still it won’t that dull of a time.
If you aren’t wanting to bowl, and you don’t even want to attempt trying it, there’s other things you’re able to do. Ranging from the concession area, arcade, and a bar. Alcoholic beverages are provided for the adults, but there are plenty of drinks for kids to have as well.
Starlight Lanes has its own league with kids participating competitively along with adults. They’re all playing against other bowlers, improving their own personal best. Anyone can join, and anyone can become great at bowling. The fun is all in the way you decide to play the game, if you have a negative attitude you’re not going to enjoy it as much as someone who’s ecstatic about playing.
But that does not mean you have to be good at bowling to have fun. They have a handicap system so that if you aren’t the best at bowling, you can still be competitive with a group. You can also have fun messing around, throwing the ball with different hands, or roll it to the pins in some other creative way. Just don’t pass over the fowl line, or it won’t count for you.
Some people are almost always there, shooting their balls towards the pins with almost a perfect record. These people have their own balls, which tend to be uniquely colored and amazing to watch as they sail towards the pins.
If you aren’t the best bowler, there’s a good chance that the experienced people would help you out if you wanted to learn. If they love bowling, then they’d likely want other people to know how to do what they can do as well.
It’s not always the easiest competing with someone who’s had thirty years of practice at that sport, basically having everything down to the way they breath as they throw their shot. Unless you keep the bumpers up as you compete against them, but even so aim still will matter as well as strategy.
A weekend with friends or family at Starlight Lanes is a great way to bond and hang out with the people you want to be around. Being able to have an excuse to meet up is sometimes all you need to hang out with a friend you lost touch with a few years ago.
