Tees for Mac

Sally Boese, Staff Writer

Business teacher Taylor Stucky has recently invested in a t- shirt press, and it will really come in handy throughout the year. She has been working with students in Project Management to come up with a student- based business through the school. They have already planned to create shirts for various clubs and school groups. Later in the year they hope to be able to sell shirts at school activities. The students involved are earning money for the school, and learning important business skills that can be helpful later in life.

This first year project will hopefully be a success, and bring in profit. Now that the press is on hand, it will be easier to gain access, rather than having to contact local shops to create shirts. It also saves money, and can usually be faster. This all takes place in the business room, room 80, providing easy access for the students in charge, and a quick way to get in contact with the group.

I think it’s a cool thing for our school because we don’t have to depend on other shops. And no mishaps!

Many clubs in the school have already talked about creating tees to represent themselves. But, if everyone in the club were to purchase a plain five dollar tee, Stucky and her team can create and put any design on the shirts.  The club is also purchasing sixty shirts, along with designs, to sell at school activities. There will be a few options, such as color and design. Red and grey will be available, and prints include “Home of the Bullpups” and “Mac Bullpups” but the price has not yet been determined.

If you are in a club or any activity that may be wanting shirts to represent you, talk to Mrs. Stucky!
