Easy Christmas Sugar cookie recipe

Flour 2 cups

Sugar ¾ cup

Baking Soda ½ Tsp

Baking Powder is ¼ Tsp

Vanilla Extract is ½ Tsp

1 Egg

½ Cup of butter

Lay all your ingredients out on the table in front of you. Start to mix all of the dry ingredients (except sugar) together, and the vanilla extract in a small bowl.

Then you can start butter by putting your butter in the microwave to soften it and putting it into a large mixing bowl.

Start to cream the sugar and the butter together with an electric mixer set on the low-medium setting. When it is well combined, crack the egg into it and continue mixing.

When it is all combined take your dry ingredients mixture and start to slowly mix it in with the mixer still on the medium setting.

When the dough is all together, dust extra flour over a clean baking surface and lay your freshly created dough out. (Don’t forget to dust your rolling pin too!)

Pick out the fun christmas cookie cutters to use and use the dough space accordingly.

Pop them into the oven for about 10 minutes. (A couple of my thin cookies were a bit more stiff than my thicker more doughy cookies so bake accordingly!)

Decorate the cookies how you want! (I personally did not do this because I am not an artist, so I kept them all laid out nicely.)

Enjoy your freshly homemade cookies!

Review: I made these cookies in my own kitchen and I have to say that they did turn out quite nicely, but I did make a couple mistakes along the way. For starters instead of adding 2 cups of flour I added about 1 ¾ of a cup and that didn’t end up working out in my favor. So I added an extra ¼ cup to help even it out. After that it worked a lot better and the rest of the recipe was a breeze and the cookies tasted amazing!
