Homecoming

MHS is bursting with activity, from Spirit week to Homecoming and ACTs. Monday, September 26 is when everyone at MHS goes to the theater and watches as all the Homecoming candidates walk across the stage and students listen to different aspects of their high school career. The candidates for 2016-2017 school year are Kellsie Corrigan, Sam Arbuckle, Ellea Ediger, Britton Bate, Heidi Myers, Hadley Hageman, Morgan Howard, Austin Eldredge, Brooke Schrag, and Casen Hoover. Voting for one king and queen is online and sent to students via email, where they will choose one Homecoming King and one Queen.

Friday, September 30 at McPherson College the Homecoming candidates will have their experiences read again to friends, family and community, and then finally the King and Queen will be announced during halftime. The voting always varies due to the diverse student body, some choose to not vote at all and some just vote for who their friends voted for. Although whether it is voting or spirit week there are many traditions at the McPherson High School, Homecoming is one of the many important events that take place in McPherson.
