What college did you attend?

I attended Emporia State University.

What brought you to McPherson?

I came to McPherson for many reasons. First, I knew the reputation of the school district and wanted to be a part of that kind of success and rigor. Also, I have family who live here, as well as my wife and her family are from McPherson.

What subject do you teach?

I currently teach Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2.

Why do you teach that subject?

I wanted to teach this subject to challenge the minds of my students and push them to be the best problem-solvers that they can be. Math gives that to students because it requires students to think outside the box in some areas and trains the students’ perseverance.

Do you have any interests outside of school? If so please explain.

Outside of school, I am very interested in athletics and will be coaching baseball in the Spring. I am a fan of the Kansas City Royals and enjoy watching their games.
