On Tuesday May 10, the McPherson High School honored seniors that have received awards and scholarships. The program started with a welcome from Mr. Plackemeier and then honored the valedictorian, Katie Wurm, and the salutatorian, Nolan Milleson.

The program continued by having sponsors from the scholarship distributors present the award to the recipient. Each person was called one by one to accept their awards.

“It made me feel very proud of my achievements in high school,” senior Grace Colaw said. “I am excited to see where my classmates move on in life.”

The guidance counselors then announced all the seniors that attended the event, along with the school they plan to attend, any school scholarships they received, and if they are on the ACT 30 board.

“I felt honored,” senior Hannah Stecklein said. “It was nice to get recognized for my hard work throughout the last four years.”

The night ended with refreshments provided by the guidance office.
