Knock knock! Who’s there? Doughnut. Doughnut Who? Doughnut forget to get your Hurts Donuts.

Thursday, February 4th was full of sugar filled stomachs and donut comas. McPherson citizens were as excited for Hurts Donuts as 6 year olds were for the movie Frozen. Hurts Donuts traveled from Wichita in their donut truck to treat McPherson people with their elaborate cake like donuts for just the morning.

“I guess the Hurts Donuts coming to McPherson is the main event of the decade,” said senior Amy Suenram.

The spread of the news on many social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram helped draw in people.

“A post about the truck coming on Facebook got more likes than a picture of a new born baby. I saw over a hundred people standing in line at seven in the morning. It was insane,” said junior Hadley Hageman.

With people pre-ordering on Tuesday, they sold out on donuts before they even got to McPherson. I would call that a success.
