On Tuesday, the varsity bowling team had a tournament. They played at West Acres Bowling in Wichita. Five members from the team had to work together to win the game, each person bowling two frames. Bailey Holton, Ashley Lasalle, Alexis Kieffer, Anna Young and Brooke Miller were the main bowlers that competed. Maysan Groote was subbed in every now and again. There were 26 teams competing in the tournament. In the end, the girls placed 11th and the boys placed 20th.

Freshman, Brooke Miller, said “As a team we did our best to support one another.”

Like most sports, in bowling you have to score the most points to win. Each pin is worth a point. A strike is worth 10 points, plus the amount of pins you score during your next two throws. A spare is worth 10 points, plus the amount of pins you score during your next throw.
