Football Rack Up Yards Against Winfield

This week the McPherson High School football team suited up for a game at Winfield. Considering the fact that they got the win from El Dorado this previous week they were comfortable and well prepared to play at Winfield.

The first week of October they beat El Dorado 28-8. This week, they also gave it their all.

“We have been working hard at practice just getting to know their new formations that we’ve never seen before and been staying focused,” said Jack Reifschneider.

The team takes any opportunity they can get their hands on to make them a stronger team. With the bullpups continuing on their winning streak, they are willing to do what it takes to head towards the play offs.

“Our defensive line always plays physical and they don’t ever take a play for advantage so I’d say that’s where we have most of our strength,” said Reifschneider.

The team kept their focus and practiced hard so they could get the 61-0 win they handled from Winfield.

“We had the best practices throughout the week then we have had in a long time,” said Karston Hardeman.

Karston Hardeman went out with a concussion a few games ago. His return was at Winfield game and he played hard headed enough to make it out without another concussion.

“I have been well prepared to come back to the game. I have been doing some neck-flex and other head exercises to gain the strength that I need,” said Hardeman. “With the outcome of the game, there isn’t anything I would have done differently. We played hard, stayed focused, and that got us to where we wanted to go. Great game and a great win for us.”
