Club Fair

Olivia Hansen, Co-Editor

On August 26th, McPherson High School hosted a club fair to persuade and inform students about all the activities MHS students participate in. The club fair lasted through both of the lunches, and hosted clubs such as Student Council, FCA, Debate, KAY, and Ping Pong Club.

“It’s great to see so much support for our new club,” co-founder of Ping Pong Club senior Kye Brewer said. “I hope all club members will help shape the club into what it’s destined to be.”

McPherson High School prides themselves on the large amount of clubs they have up and running. Whether it’s purely academic, sports, or art related, there’s a club for it.

“The thing I liked specifically about the club fair was the diversity of great clubs we have going on at the school.”

Running a club doesn’t happen overnight. Countless hours have been spent planning activities, finding funding, and even raising awareness of the club itself.

“It takes a lot of organization and planning to run KAY,” senior Lindsey Moore said. “Creativity is used a lot to come up with service projects that can be fun for our members and helpful to the community.”

Participating in clubs is a great way to find friends with the same interests as you. It brings you laughs, volunteer hours, as well as a lot of fun.
