The best part of the holidays are the drinks! This Christmas season I tried drinks from different places around Mcpherson. I got one drink from every place; Starbucks, Scooters, Sonic, and The Locker Room.
From Starbucks I purchased an Iced Sugar Cookie Latte with sugar cookie cold foam. I rate this drink an 8/10. This drink was sweet and the cold foam tasted exactly like a sugar cookie you would get from the store. If you like coffee and sugar cookies I recommend it for the Christmas season. This drink cost $8.34 for a grande, this drink has 270 calories and 25 grams of sugar.
Ashlyn Schroeder rated the Ice Sugar Cookie Latte an 8.5/10. “I wish there was more sugar cookie in the actual latte part, and the sprinkles were gross,” said Schroeder.
From Sonic, I acquired a Sugar Cookie Dr. Pepper. I rate this drink a 9/10, it would be a 10/10 if it tastes less like caramel. This drink was the cheapest out of the four I tried and one of my favorites. This drink costs $2.99 for a medium, it has 370 calories and 58 grams of sugar.
Kadence Zaharis rated the Sugar Cookie Dr.Pepper an 10/10. “It’s fire! I love it! I’d get it every day if I could,” said Zaharis.
At Scooters, I bought hot chocolate. I rate this drink a 7/10, it is good but could be more rich. When I got the hot chocolate it was the perfect temperature. I didn’t have to wait for it to cool down, which I love! It costs $4.50, it has 400 calories and 59 grams of sugar.
Schroeder rated the hot chocolate a 7/10. “It’s not as good as Starbucks hot chocolate but still pretty good,” said Schroeder.
All three of the drinks were delicious, but my favorite was the Sugar Cookie Dr. Pepper. It had the perfect amount of sweetness and flavor.
