As the Locker Room celebrates its four-year anniversary this November, it stands as a strong business to dedication and community spirit. The Locker Room has become a staple in McPherson, Kansas, not only for its delicious and diverse menu but also for its unwavering commitment to the local community.
The inspiration behind The Locker Room stems from the founders’ passion for sports and their desire to create a space where athletes can find nutritious options. With twelve locations in the organization, The Locker Room has carved out a niche, offering drinks “inspired by sports and the vibrant energy of McPherson.”
One of the standout offerings from their October menu includes favorites like Spellbound and Boo-Berries and Cream, which have rave reviews from customers. These creative concoctions highlight the team’s dedication to variety and flavor, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
The Locker Room’s great involvement in the community is driven by a mission to give back and serve. Katie Murray is a firm believer “that what you put into the community, you get back” a thought they’ve pursued through various fundraisers and active participation in local games and events. This commitment has not only built strong community connections but also established The Locker Room as a loved local fixture.
Murray’s journey with nutrition programs spans seven and a half years, “influenced by her background as an athlete and an inkling for nutrition.”
The decision to set up in McPherson was obvious. Driving through the downtown area, Murray was quickly drawn to the vibrant, “busy, well-supported community.” After exploring further and making connections, Katie fell in love with McPherson and decided to stay, contributing to the town’s health and wellness.
In a short four years, The Locker Room has not only brought nutritious drinks but also built a legacy of community involvement and support, making it a cherished part of McPherson. So much so that teens love working there. Reanna Eilrich states “it is such a welcoming and fun environment to be in”.
