P and M Pumpkin Ranch in Moundridge, Kansas re-opened on September 21st it will remain open through the first week of November for its 12th season. The pumpkin patch is ready for another season of fall festivities. Each year P and M goes bigger and better this year adding multiple activities, food and more.

Peyton Fast, employee of P and M pumpkin patch says his favorite part of opening the pumpkin patch is “Seeing all the people out and about! Seeing community members, and the customers that have been coming every year!” Fast has worked at P and M for 8 years and he loves being a part of the pumpkin patch environment and seeing the joy on all the children’s faces each year. 

P and M Pumpkin patch is one of the biggest pumpkin patches in Kansas with various activities and food. This year they added paintball, piggy back rides that propel back and forth on a track, and a barn for mothers to nurse their babies. P and M Pumpkin ranch has gotten more popular over the past few years with almost double the amount of customers they got when they first opened 12 years ago. On Wednesday and Thursday the pumpkin patch is open from 4p-7p, on Friday 10a-7p, on Saturday 10a-8p, and on Sunday 10a-7p

One of the most popular events at P and M pumpkin patch is their pig races. Karlie Cooper, a customer of the pumpkin patch said “One of my favorite things about P and M is watching their pig races because they are unique and bring me excitement.” 

Fast often is in charge of running the pig races and here’s what he says about them “I love running the Pig Races! Seeing the joy on the kiddos’ faces and the laugh when I tell an awful joke is truly amazing! The bigger the race the better!” Fast works hard to put on the best pig race shows for all the children to enjoy.

This year P and M pumpkin ranch cost $15.49 to get you into almost all of the activities with no restricted time limit. P and M employees work all year round to prepare to re-open every year in the fall. For example, the pumpkin patch has to harvest their pumpkins, come up with new ideas to improve P and M, remodel/ build new structures and more. 

This summer P and M planted a large flower garden where you can go and collect a small can of flowers to keep you can also take photos next to the beautiful flowers. P and M Pumpkin patch is always coming up with new ideas to keep their customers entertained and have them coming back every fall.

Cooper said, “I have gone to the P and M pumpkin patch every year since I can remember and I can’t wait to go again this year. It’s always on my fall bucket list to make it to the P and M pumpkin patch at least once each fall. I always have an amazing time filled with laughter. I have been to other pumpkin patches before but none of them measure up to P and M. P and M has the best environment and entertainment.”
