As girls tennis at McPherson High School comes to a close, the girls have had a quite successful season. The team’s practices have been quite productive everyday after school on the courts, which has led them into a rush of wins.
Ava Miller, a tennis player at McPherson High School has been quite happy witht the team’s productivity this season. She has been playing tennis since middle school, and has begun her climb into varsity.
Miller, when asked about the coaches, stated that “They’re great encouraging people.”
The coaches should be proud of the team for their efforts and success this year. More girls have been motivated to take time outside of practice to work on improvements.
“I fixed my serve and I’m taking more time out of practice,” said Miller.
Just these small acts of dedication are what is driving the team to further success in the future.
“I think we’re doing really well, and we’ve won all of our tournaments so we should be one of the top teams in the state.” Miller implies upon the girls success this season.
As of this week, the girls tennis team has a JV tournament on Saturday. The Varsity team is preparing for their final tournament, then they’re off to state.
A parent of one of the players, Erin Snook, feels as though the tennis girls are “sweet, hard-working people.”
The MHS girls tennis team has been a hard working group of kind individuals. Be there to cheer for them at the league tournament this Monday at the courts!
