I reviewed some of the fast food snacks and drinks that were made in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. There are a lot of places here in McPherson that I went to, so I could test out their treats.
One of the most common drinks is the Shamrock Shake from McDonald’s. According to McDonalds.com, “It’s made with creamy vanilla Soft Serve blended with our minty Shamrock Shake syrup and topped with a whipped light cream.”
I thought the drink kinda tasted like mint and candles, I didn’t think it was very good.
Dairy Queen had two items for St. Patrick’s day, one was an Under the Rainbow Shake and the other was a Mint Brownie Blizzard.
The Under the Rainbow Shake is made with “DQ vanilla soft serve ice cream, strawberry flavor, rainbow sprinkles, topped with whipped topping and even more rainbow sprinkles.”
“The Mint Brownie Blizzard Treat is a mint green color and combines chocolate brownie pieces, choco chunks and mint with vanilla soft serve.” Both treats are on the menu now but make sure you get them before March 17.
I thought the Mint Brownie Blizzard was a good mix of mint and brownie, but only if you like mint. I thought the Under the Rainbow Shake had a little bit too much strawberry flavor in it, but it was alright.
Scooters coffee has two items on their St Patrick’s day menu, Lucky Leprechaun and a Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte.
The Lucky Leprechaun is a “Smoothly sweet white chocolate and cool mint paired with world-class espresso and rich, steamed milk. Finished with signature whipped cream and sprinkled with chips.”
The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte is made with “a cinnamon and brown sugar taste with espresso, topped with real whipped cream and sprinkled with crunchy Cinnamon Toast Crunch pieces.”
I tried the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte and I thought it tasted pretty good. It really just tastes like their ‘Carmalishous’ with a hint of cinnamon.
The Locker Room has a whole menu for the month of March, including shakes, energy bombs, and super bombs. They have names for each of the drinks and what’s in them.
Their specials include Green Envy, Beach Bum, Shamrocked, Wicked Leprechaun, Lucky Limeade, Hangover Helper, Luck O’ The Irish, Bay Watch, Spring Break, Irish Flag, Lucky Charms, Pot O’ Gold, Shamrock Shake, Irish Creme, and Key Lime Cupcake.
I tried the Beach Bum and I thought it was a really good mix of all the flavors.
Most of the treats I tried were really good, go try all the treats I did and enjoy!
