TikTok is ranked as the number one entertainment app in the app store right now. According to “Forbes News” the average teenager who has TikTok spends 2 hours on the app. One of the most recent updates to the app was the addition of TikTok shop.
TikTok shop is a place where you buy and purchase trending items that you see influencers using in their videos. Someone can make a TikTok about an item they like and then tag the item from TikTok shop to the video. You can then easily find and purchase that item in the video in TikTok shop using the tag from the video.
I recently purchased some items from TikTok and had a positive overall experience. I ordered 8 items off the app from varying brands and genres. I placed my order on January 19 and they arrived on January 27.
The prices of the items were meager, so I was slightly skeptical of their quality and if I was getting scammed. For example, I purchased a set of two cotton long-sleeved shirts for $4.61.
Overall I would say the quality of the items for the price I ordered were very good and exceeded my expectations. The overall process of shopping on the platform was very easy to work, and gave suggestions for items that I was interested in viewing.
The time it took for my package to arrive after purchase was probably the least pleasing part of my order. It took longer than it had originally said when I was checking out for my packages to arrive. When they did arrive they came in a black bag that was wrapped over and over in packing tape.
Overall I would recommend shopping from TikTok shop and could see myself shopping from there again.
