The outbreak of the Coronavirus is causing panic in China and other countries.

The recent outbreak of the deadly ‘coronavirus’ is causing an international panic. Leading to the death of tens of thousands of people in China, there are at least two dozen more in other countries such as the United States. Worldwide, this virus has infected almost 60,000 people and the newly developing cases are continuing to put more pressure on the government to treat these patients.

The virus originating in Wuhan, China, this epidemic can affect both animals and people and can range from a small respiratory illness like the common cold, to severe respiratory syndrome. Transmitted through the air, the coronavirus is moderately infectious and is similar to the SARS virus. While this is a very serious situation and numbers are still rising, if you live outside of China there is little to worry about. With the World Health Organization currently offering their assistance, China is now taking action by closing schools and transportation.

Things you can do to keep yourself and others around you healthy and away from viruses like these are very simple. Washing your hands frequently and staying home when you are sick are two simple things people can do to make sure germs are not being spread. The coronavirus can be very serious and it is important to keep yourself and those around you healthy.
