The MHS Varsity volleyball team played Winfield and Andale on September, Tuesday 13. The varsity team went home with two wins under their belt.

  They beat Andale in an easy two sets. “We knew they’d be hard, but we were well prepared as as a team and played with lots of enthusiasm,” said Jaycee Burghart, setter.

  Then McPherson battled with Winfield in three, until Mac came out on top. This year Winfield got a new head coach, which improved their volleyball program, resulting in a tough win for the Bullpups.

  “Winfield is usually a game for us to work on our offense and stay tough with our own play, but this year it was a little different with the staff position change. They were tougher than we expected,” Sydney Mossman, outside and middle hitter.

  The two hour drive home was a little less unbearable due to the two victories.
