Carnations and Cookies
February 12, 2016
Friday February 12th kicks off the Valentine’s day weekend with the FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.) The FCCLA passed out cookies that people have bought for their friends or significant others in the A.C. after school. They delivered flowers during the first 5 minutes and last 5 minutes of class. Students chose either a cookie or a flower, a cookie cost one dollar and one flower cost two dollars.
Before passing out the flowers and cookies students were thinking about whether or not they would receive one or not. Rece Reiman, freshman said, “I hope I will receive one of the two. I think I will get some just not exactly sure what.”
No matter what boys and girls say, they are secretly hoping to get something on Valentine’s day. Since it is not Valentine’s day yet there is still a chance that you could still receive a gift from someone or give a gift.
