Tuesday night’s semi-final “Dancing with the Stars” showcased an evening full of emotion, excitement, and amazing performances.  Competition reached new heights with each pair striving to secure their spot in the finale. Judges were providing critique, while the audience was amazed by the choreography and routines. 

Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, this year’s co-hosts of DWTS, bring tons of talent to the show. Ribeiro won the Mirrorball Trophy in season 19, showcasing his impressive dance skills. Hough, a two-time champion and former judge on the show, is celebrated for her creative performances. Together, their combined experiences create an exciting and competitive dance competition. 

In a new article on the DWTS updates GoodHousekeeping states, “After season 32 saw the surprise shake-up of former pro and judge Julianne Hough taking the place of Tyra Banks as co-host, it’s likely fans will see Julianne return to season 33 and emcee alongside season 19 winner Alfonso Ribeiro.”

As contestants prepare for the finale, they spend many hours in the studio preparing for the dances. Contestants use their previous scores and build off and improve from them. Last week’s scores kept all the groups in the show to perform in the finale.  

“Derek said that Brandon has grown with Chandler as a partner this season and called the routine “phenomenal.”, Sources say from Forbes talking about the top scorers, Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong, who received a total of 58 votes. “Carrie Ann added that “the race is on” and they are bringing the game to the competition.”, According to reports from Forbes commenting on Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson tying score of a total of 58.  

Although those are the top scorers from semi-finals, social media favorites Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold still seem to be fan favorites. Scoring a total of 53 in the semi-finals, due to love from the audience, Nedoroscik and Arnold pushed through and made it to the finale. 

Frequent watchers of DWTS such as Sophie Boese, a sophomore at McPherson High School, claim, “I think DWTS is definitely a popular show because celebrities that are well known are on the show each year and people enjoy watching them dance with the pros.” As Boese states she is rooting for Nedoroscik and Arnold in the finale, she also adds, “My favorite dance was Steven and Rylee’s Vietnamese waltz in week 8.”
