The McPherson Crawl for Cancer event once again brought the community together in a spirited display of unity and purpose. The crawl started 4 years ago here in McPherson, they were looking for something to do that McPherson hasn’t already done yet.
On a wonderful Saturday evening you will see all down main street the crawl happening. Each year there are four different locations that you will see different members at, Hanks, Easy, The American Legion, and Tres Amigos. There are many prizes you can win from gift cards all the way up to money and more!
The Crawl for Cancer is not just about the fun and games. It’s a reminder of why we gather. To support those battling cancer and to honor the memories of those we’ve lost.
Angie Timson says, “I look forward to WACCC’s Crawl for Cancer event every year, as it’s a time I get to venture around to the participating restaurants with my friends while bringing awareness to cancer, cancer survivors, and remembering those who have lost their battle to cancer.”
The funds raised during this event go towards crucial cancer research and patience. As the day comes to a close, the stress of McPherson will be left with a sense of accomplishment.
As Jen Bonham says, “WACCC’s Crawl for Cancer is an opportunity to have a fun-filled time with your friends for a good cause.”
Not only will you be helping raise money for the ones who are battling a horrible condition but you will also be having the most fun making memories. Go help the Crawl for Cancer on main street Friday around 6:30pm down at main street!
