Accident on First Street
The night before January 25th we got some icy weather that caused the roads to ice over. With the icy roads in the middle of Kansas, there were a lot of young drivers not used to the condition making them nervous to drive and not knowing what to expect. Because of the inexperience driving in these conditions, an accident happened between a sophomore of MHS and an MHS administrator. While trying to stop behind a car to turn into the second front parking lot, the student underestimated the amount of ice there was, and she ended up hitting the administrator’s car. Thankfully no one was hurt during the accident, but the student’s front bumper got smashed in, and the back bumper of the administrator’s car got damaged. Thankfully neither of the cars were totaled.
