Fall Activities

It is now prime fall weather meaning that there are more fall activities you can do. Because of all the unique things happening in the fall, like leaves falling, weather getting colder, and pumpkins growing, there are a bunch of activities you can do with friends and family. With all the fun activities you can do, I asked some people in the Journalism class what their favorite activities were. Kamryn Carver, a freshman at MHS said that her favorite fall activity is “baking cookies, pies, muffins, pumpkin bread, and mainly anything pumpkin flavored because it smells so good going in and out of the oven, and it gives me something to do on the weekend.”

To take you back to your childhood, we all remember in our backyard when all the leaves would fall off the trees, and instead of thinking of picking them up, the only thing you could think of was bundling them all into a pile and jumping in them. Even if jumping in a pile of leaves seems like something you would do by yourself, there are so many things that you can do with a group of people. If you are feeling especially in the Halloween spirit, maybe you could go to the pumpkin patch, to try and get the biggest pumpkin and carve something spooky into it like a scary face or a spooky ghost or goblin. Another thing you can do during Halloween is to go trick-or-treating with a group of friends.  We all know there is nothing better than hanging out with your friends and getting candy. Even when Halloween is over, we still have over a month left of fall leaving more things you can do. You can take a trip to your nearest apple orchard and get some apples to eat for a picnic or bake a nice apple pie. If your favorite weather is during the fall, some of the best things to do outside during the fall would be going to a corn maze with friends to see how long it takes you to get out or making some nice toasty S’mores in your backyard, but make sure you do not set anything you do not mean to on fire.
