If someone asked you if you wanted to see Jurassic World 2: Fallen Kingdom, what would you say? Well, if you’re anything like me, you might be screaming and searching frantically through Youtube to find the trailer to see if it’s really happening. Dont worry, i assure you, it is real. Sadly, though the original release of the trailer was postponed, but thankfully on Thanksgiving a teaser was released.

Remember the famous Owen Grady? Remember the raptor Blue? Well in the adorable teaser trailer, Owen (Chris Pratt) is seen petting the chin of a baby Velociraptor with a blue stripe along its side. Is it a flashback to baby Blue? Or is it Blue’s baby?

Sadly, until the movie comes out, or the cast gives us a hint, we won’t know which it is. But, what we do know is that, obviously, Owen Grady will be returning. And so will Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard). That’s right. The dynamic duo that started out with severe dislike, if not near hatred, and ended in friendship is back. Now, correct me if i’m wrong, but didn’t it look like the two had formed something a little more than just friendship? Or maybe it’s just my wishful thinking at hand?

Either way, the first look promo photo is enough to get fans, including myself, excited.

In the photo, six different skeletons can be see. One of a triceratops, and one of an ankylosaur, both on the far right, followed by a smaller skeleton that is too far away to be seen clearly. On the left, the three skeletons, one looking faintly like a velociraptor, are covered in too many shadows to see clearly.

In the center of the room, though, lies two objects of high interest. One, is the massive horned and frilled skull, and the other, is the little girl in the red jacket.

Let’s talk about the main focus, the ceratopsian skull… Just kidding, although it does appear to look like a hybrid version of a dinosaur from the Ceratopsian family. The little girl in front of it appears to be the true main focus, considering the way the photographer makes the viewer perceive the photo.

As Jurassic World 2, aka Fallen Kingdom, is based only three years after Jurassic World, the rumor that the little girl is the daughter of Owen and Claire, must be, sadly, false. The daughter of the duo would be under three, and the girl in the picture has to be, at the least, seven years old, maybe eight. As much as I would personally love for the girl to be a child of Owen and Claire, we know too little and too much all at once. Though I do hope that in some way, she is related to Claire or Owen.

There is also the return of a character from two previous Jurassic Park movies. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum). The only guy who seemed to have any form of common sense in the first and second Jurassic Park movies. We get to see this sarcastic, and brilliant, character return in Fallen Kingdom. From the trailer, it was obvious that Ian was sending a few new, a few old, characters on a dino rescue mission to the Isla Sorna.

There’s also an active volcano. Interesting? I’d say so! I’m sure I’m not the only MHS student excited for the next movie, and I’m positive I’m not the only person hoping that there are more movies to come.
