Forensics and All You Need to Know About It

Rece Reiman, Journalism 1 Student

So since in Forensics is beginning this semester, this is a guide to what Forensics is and it should help explain the concept of Forensics. Hopefully after this article you will be encouraged to join Forensics. You should anyways without having to read this article, because it’s a very fun class. So without a further adieu let’s begin!

Forensics is composed of a number of things involving acting, poetry, or speaking.  There are specific acts such as, Duet acting, Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Poetry, Prose, And Impromptu Duet Acting. There are more than that, but those are the most popular.Duet acting is where you and a partner have a piece you find and act it out together. You can use many voices or actions to help show what you are doing because you can’t have any props in Forensics acting. Interpretation is a solo act in which you find a piece that best suits either the humorous section or the dramatic section. Poetry is the most popular because you can have your piece in front of you to read, but the people who are good at it, usually just use it to glance at.

So that’s the basics of Forensics. If you are interested in joining talk to Aaron Schopper or Brandi McWilliams. Me and my partner Jordan Moll are in Duet Acting, and Impromptu Duet Acting. Me and my partner are performing a piece about the history of America, but it takes a comical twist on the normal history of America which makes it a very funny piece. Him and me are performing it on the 16th of January so let’s hope it goes well.
