Holidays are quickly approaching, and most people spend time with their family. However, that can be exhausting. Family is one of the most important things in life, but sometimes they get to be too much. From the adults’ pestering questions to the overbearing attention from the kids, it never seems to end. Sure, you could just stay home, but there are other ways to put up with your family during the holidays.

Older relatives that question everything. “What are your grades like? What do you plan to do after high school? Are you dating  anyone?” The questions never seem to end. It’s good to remember that holiday gatherings are usually only for a couple of days. You interact with relatives, and then you don’t have to worry about seeing them until the next family gathering. When the questions are being fired taking a deep breath and answering is a good thing to do. If you really don’t want to answer any questions excusing yourself to the restroom is also a good plan.

In the end, it’s just important to remember that they’re family. Even though it feels like you hate them at times.“Family will always be there for you and they’ll support you in everything you do, so it’s important to have them in your life” said freshman student, Megan Manning. The best tip to dealing with your family during holidays is to remind yourself how much you love them.
